Designers, Artists, Students, Advertisers send me your stuff I would love to see it and post your work, please send them in an email to whymeblog@gmail.com
This is an ad from Ligy Laundry Powder from the advertising agency WhyCreative out of Beijing, China and creative directors DongHao and Kelvin Lai. How freaking over the top is this.
I love it when advertising people take things too far. It's much more interesting than the usual children and puppies dross that gets shoved down our throats on a daily basis.
I'd usually love to see edgy imagery in advertising much like Aaron but this one is grossly inappropriate and just terrible. Maybe it's just the fact that it's obviously an American soldier.
I don't think the target audience cares all that much though. Just as my sour feelings on it would be almost nonexistant if it were a chinese soldier.
Good commercial. I like how they aren't affected by whiny people that need to be shielded from reality, popping Xanex, living in a perfect imaginary world...

They took it way too far with this ad! That is horrible!
Can never go "way to far". I get it, but it's like, eh, what-ev. Clever, but one-liner.
Blowback -- not good.
