Her dolls are inspired by Victorian, Edward Gorey, Tim Burton, and many, many talented doll artists who are have forged the unusual art doll path. Above and below are just two of the creations this talented artist has come up with. Make sure check out the art prints at her Etsy shop, or head over to her blog, she is giving away one of her latest prints.

Fantastic video showcasing the new BMW Z4, it features the Berlin based South African artist Robin Rhode. How much fun would it be to drive that Z4 on a giant canvas, awesome.

Sara Larson

Posted by tb4

So I am finally going through my email, it took me quite a bit just to get everything organized properly so I could start working.

Here is a piece from Oregon based illustrator and painter Sara Larson. I was trying to figure out how to describe her art, but nothing that I came up with did justice to her extremely colorful and a bit weird art. So here is what Sara says about her art, check the description and the portfolio link below that.

"Typically of people, my paintings play on irony, humor and sorrow. Many of the characters in my work seem to be balancing between bitterness and boredom, yet poised in front of brightly colored back drops and dreamy scenery, they become their own punch-line. My work is an attempt at exploring the most awkward, beautiful and strange parts of people, and celebrating those little flaws that define each of us."
1 post down like 100 to go.

Andy Espinoza

Posted by tb4

I got a great little surprise in my inbox this morning, Florida-based artist, Andy Espinoza shot me an email with a few of his oil painting. Andy is currently studying at the Ringling College of Art and Design, majoring in Illustration. When I read that Andy is still in school I was extremely surprised, his paintings are just so technically good and there is an expressiveness in his work that you normally don't find in an artist that is still in school. Check out his website, linked below, for a few more pieces from this up and coming artist.

Very nice installation from Miami based artist and graphic designer Juan Camilo Rojas. Using over 3000 cigarettes to complete this installation, Juan has created a great piece of art. Check out the rest of Juan's work at his portfolio linked below.

My only question is, if a smoker goes and checks this out, and is completely out of cigarettes. Would he or she be tempted to take on of the cigarettes off of this piece and smoke it. I think it could happen, I've known some smokers in my day that are pretty scandalous about how they get their fix.

Luke Feldman

San Francisco based Australian artist Luke Feldman shot me an email today with some of his work. He has a new limited edition print coming out soon, 'Ester' will be limited to a run of 30 prints and can be seen in the picture above. Luke, aka skaffs, has won more awards and has been featured in more publications than I care to mention here, I'm really surprised this is the first of his work I have seen. I love the style of his work, a bit bizzare but always beautiful work. Check out one more of his pieces below, and also a quick video put together by Coothwork TV for Luke's Perpetual Kagemi Solo Art Exhibition.

Absolutely spectacular work from Belgian illustrator Raphael Vicenzi, these pieces are from his You and I surrender series. This self taught illustrator has a very cool style, if not a bit grungy, is grungy a word. Check out one more of Raphael's pieces below, and all of his work at his website, linked at the bottom.

Björn Hurri

Absolutely fantastic artwork from Björn Hurri, he works in a number of different mediums from your basic sketching with pen and ink to oils and acrylics. He has a lot of work over at his site, bjornhurri.com. The site takes a little bit to load but it is well worth the wait, although the waiting for the site to load is most likely on my end because my computer sounds like it is going to blow up today.

For you Star Wars fans out there Björn has a great series going over at Gorilla Artfare called Steampunk Star Wars, take a minute and go check it out even if you don't like Star Wars the sketches are just brilliant. You can see Yoda below, the little green guy never looked so good, although I am wondering what he is smoking.

Kate Lightfoot

I got a very nice little surprise in my inbox today, miss Kate Lightfoot, a.k.a Scarlett Cat, decided to send me some of her latest works. Scarlett is a self-taught Melbourne artist who draws flirty, quirky big-eyed girls. She works mostly in colored pencil and ink, and achieves some fantastic results. You can buy her work over at her etsy site, seriously I love this girl because she has prints for as little as $4.50, finally an artist who understands not everyone has $1000 to spend on a print. Also if you happen to be in Australia you can check out her work at Gallery 696. The rest of Scarlett's work can be seen at her site linked below, check it out there is a lot of good work there.

Absolutely spectacular new work from Polish designer and digital illustrator Adam Spizak. The new illustration is called "The Pathogen," and it is wonderful. It is so intricate in portions and that just pulls you into the illustration and makes you want to look and find out more about it. Check out all of Adam's work at his portfolio linked below.
