Over at popsugar.com they have the brand spanking new No Doubt song. I haven't decided on whether or not I like the song yet, maybe I'll make my final decision when I see them live coming up in July.
no doubt

Love this new video from Bloc Party, so weird and creepy. The video is for the remix of the song "Signs," it was remixed by Armand Van Helden.
Bloc Party announced today that on the 11th of May they will be releasing ‘Intimacy Remixed’ on limited edition CD or triple 12”. It will also be available digitally.
The album will include remixes by Gold Panda, Mogwai and Filthy Dukes and will lead off with a remix of ‘Signs’ by Armand Van Helden which will be released on the 27th of April.

I just can't get enough of this song, hometown glory, from UK singer songwriter Adele, it is from her debut CD "19". I haven't had a chance to listen to the entire CD but what I have heard of it is just plain wonderful. Maybe I'll get the CD for Christmas, wouldn't that be nice. Just for fun check out the High Contrast remix below, this remix is actually where I first heard of Adele.

I don't post on music very often, and when I do it is more to talk about CD covers or posters, but Guns 'n Roses is now streaming Chinese Democracy in its entirety on their MySpace. I'm through about half the songs and I have to say it is a pretty solid album, but to say this I do have to put out of my mind that it took Axl 10 years to make this album. If I take that in to consideration, it is a pretty mediocre album, if I had 10 years to work on any one thing I was good at it would be perfect. And in my oh so lowly, trying to be a music critic opinion, this is not a perfect album by any stretch of the imagination. But I am enjoying it, and I think it is a good album, just not as good as it could have been. I'm probably going to listen to it once or twice and not listen to it again. It just doesn't seem like it has the staying power of Use your illusions I and II, or even Appetite For Destruction. I really can't believe Appetite For Destruction, was released in 1987, man I'm old.
Now saying everything I have said above, this album will most likely be the number 1 album, and I'm sure it will have monster sales. For the sheer fact that it is 10 years in the making and everyone really will want to hear this one. I have one question about Axl Rose though and his choice of guitarists, does he just love the single name guitarists first Slash and now Bumblefoot. Enjoy listening to the new album, because I sure am.
Oh I almost forgot Mr. Dodge from MOKB altered me to this album stream, check out his site for all the latest in Indie music.

What do you get when you put the London based band Broadcast 2000's song "Get Up and Go" in the hands of Jordan Clarke. You get an absolutely stunning visual experience. The video is so simple in theory, take a few guys doing some very acrobatic moves and put it to music. The execution of this though is what makes it such a great video, so simple yet such a beautiful video. Check out some more of Jordan's work on his vimeo stream.

This is such a better looking way to hold all of your DVD's, CD's whatever, than the standard ready to assemble crap you can get. The only draw back is that it is a concept and if it ever gets to production it is going to be crazy expensive.

So it looks like this is the new Ipod Nano, god I'm really glad I didn't wait to get my Ipod now. That thing looks like crap. The only thing that will save it, is if it like paper thin, but other than that I'm less than impressed with Apple's new design.

Does your Ipod get cold at night, mine sure does. $20+ seems just about right for anything even remotely related to Ipod. There are various different designs you can get, mostly having to do with some sort of music genre. So have fun keeping your Ipod warm on those cold cold winter night.

I got to listen to the new Paul Van Dyk CD this week, due out August 14Th. I love Dance, Techno, Trance, whatever you want to call it, music. So this CD is right up my alley, I had heard a few of the songs on here before I got to listen to the whole CD, BBC's radio1 has been playing the singles for a week or so. It is a nice fairly chill CD, and I love the way all the songs flow into each other, if you listen to the CD straight through it sounds like one big song. Great CD for sitting down and getting some work done, which obviously I haven't been doing since I'm posting on here.

Live at radio city
So I had the opportunity to check out the new CD from Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds. The CD is due out at the end of the month, but you can go and pre-order it now at Dave's site. The CD is great, obviously I'm biased because i love Dave Matthews, but whatever. There is a lot of old stuff on the CD, and in my opinion, Tim Reynolds is the best compliment to Dave there is. It also has what is quickly becoming my favorite Dave song, stay or leave, and a new one I first heard at a concert last year, sister, which is a excellent song. I really like his slower stuff better, the quicker louder stuff, these days, Dave sounds like he is yelling a bit more than singing. Seriously Tim Reynolds is just a freak on the guitar, on two step it sounds like his fingers should be falling off he is playing so quickly, and his personal music is a nice break in the middle of Dave singing. All in all a great CD, with plenty of old hits and a few new ones that will surprise you.

Willie Nelson and Jimmy Buffet in concert together. Well maybe not but seriously wouldn't that be great between the two of them, Willie with his pound of pot and Jimmy with his 100 pills of ecstasy who knows what the hell would happen. At the very least they would have plenty to give the front row patrons a fantastic show, if not the second row too. Here's to old guys doing drugs college kids and teenagers do, you guys are great.

MOKB turned me onto the new CD from Shiny Toy Guns. I was a little apprehensive when I first started listening to the CD. After the first couple of songs I was hooked to the very 80s synth-pop sounds that comes from the new CD due out on Oct. 17th. We Are Pilots is a fun CD that pulls you in with its techno feel beats, and keeps you hooked with very indie rock lyrics. My favorite songs are the ones that involve Carah Faye Charnow, she has a great voice that compliments not only the music but Gregori Chad Petree's voice as well. All in all it is a very nicely put togetherr CD, Also We Are Pilots has songs that have cross platform appeal, not only for those indie rockers but the mass public. We shall see, and hope, if any major radio stations actually put them on the air though.

The band began with Jeremy Dawson and Gregori Chad Petree in 2002. Both had known each other for years and worked together on previous music projects such as Cloud2ground and Slyder. After these projects, they went into hiding for a couple years but continued making music together – ultimately morphing into their current sound. Carah Faye Charnow (vocals) and Mikey Martin (drums) both joined the band in 2004.
The band quickly gained popularity locally in California as well as on the Myspace web site. In early 2005 they independently released their first album We Are Pilots. They began touring across America that summer and had several different labels interested in signing them. They re-recorded and independently released We Are Pilots in November 2005, with a revised track list. They continued to tour extensively and were cautious about getting into a record contract until they could get exactly what they wanted. Finally, in June 2006, they signed to Universal Records.
