LifeRemains

Posted by tb4

LifeRemains is a graduation project by Netherlands based designer Ruud Havenith. The project is absolutely brilliant. LifeRemains brings life to the rigid skeletons that everyone knows from biology class and the museum.

By attaching the bones with nuts and bolts to a flexible aluminum core, three skeletons were created with the flexibility of a living creature. The three skeletons, cat, hawk and snake were created from hunderes of birch wood bones. The life size skeletons can sit, lay, stand and fly.

Awesome project I wish I could have one of each, but I think the cat would be the most fun to play with. Check out a few more photos of the project and the rest of the great work over at Ruud's site, linked below.
