Matthew Woodson is an extremely talented artist and illustrator who was born and raised in rural southern Indiana. He graduated from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago in early 2006. He still lives in Chicago in an apartment full of hardwood floors and taxidermy, with an unapologetically vocal cat and a dog that is skinnier than the grain. Now I will let Drawn explain why I am putting up this post, outside of just showing off Matthew's wonderful art, because they did it in a much more humorous and succinct way than I ever would have.
"Artist Matthew Woodson was recently bit by an unknown spider. Unlike Peter Parker who gained untold superpowers from a similar incident, this comics-related spider bite has put the artist in a tight financial situation. Read his blog for full details, but essentially, he is taking on commissioned illustration work — no job too small — to help pay for the medical bills over the next 8 months to keep the poisonous infection at bay."Here is hoping that he gets better and that he can get back to his art full time, without having to worry about medical bills or the hospital.
