I was particularly partial to Karen Benedetti's abstract work when I first saw her booth at the Talbott street art fair. When I started checking out the rest of her work on display all of her water color pieces are really well done.
Karen was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and has an art degree from the University of Wisconsin. She taught elementary art in Milwaukee for 3 years before taking on art full time.
Once deciding that art would be her full time passion, she began teaching workshops and doing outdoor shows across the country. In 1968 she moved to Dayton, Ohio where she resides today.
Karen is featured in several current publications and spends her time in Dayton mentoring emerging artists, actively participating in three local galleries and teaching workshops. Karen can be found creating art at her studios on Front Street in Dayton.
