Ok so an official trailer for the adaptation of the Frank Miller graphic novel is finally up in a high quality format on the Apple website, see link above. So if anyone knows anything about Greek history, mythology whatever, this one is not going to end well for the Spartans so don't expect a happy ending with this movie. On a lighter note this movie looks BADASS, the visuals shown in the trailer are absolutely stunning. Visually this should be on par or better than the last adaption of Frank Miller's work, Sin City. We can only hope the story is the same way.

Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, 300 is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite.

I can't wait for this to come out! Never been a big fan of graphic novels or comics, and I haven't seen SIN CITY but this looks fantastic! It doesn't hurt that it's got a bunch of hot looking men (including Vincent Regan) running around with next to nothing on. It's also nice that movie makers are finally turning their attention to ancient Greece. Rome gets all the attention, and while Roman history is fascinating, there's so much more to the ancient world than just Italy. Some really should make a decent movie about the ancient middle east that's not biblical.
