Fun lighting design from Ukrainian product designer Igor Pinigin. The prototype for this was presented at the Svitlo competition and was awarded a special prize by Salone Magazine, Ukraine. It looks like the eggs are fixed in the egg carton, although it would be cool if you could pull them out of the carton and still use them. Igor Pinigin also developed the Anemona visually unsteady lamp, featured here on why me.

The Anemona visually unsteady lamp by Ukrainian industrial designer Igor Pinigin is just a lovely little design. The main idea of this concept is that the lamp is able to change its position due to the presence of heavy balls in the bottom. The lamp can be freely rotated and tilted, also several lamps can be assembled into dynamic figures. The Anemona has a very nice flowing design asthetic to it, I would love to be able to play with these in person, it seems like you could come up with a lot of really cool layouts to place them in. Very nice lamp design by Kirsi Gullichsen for Habitek. The g1, Habitek’s new prototype of lightweight pendant lamp, pet name "PUMPA", is made of ash veneer. “PUMPA” will also be available in birch, Oregon pine, bamboo and teak. The structural parts of the lamp are steel. The "PUMPA" pendant lamp is packed flat transport package and is easy to assemble. Incandescent bulbs or compact fluorescent lamps can be used as light sources.

Very nice lighting design work from designer Ricardo Garza Marcos. His Light cube gives an amazing geometric pattern of Light depending on the array the user chooses to. Available in all kinds of wood finishes and color as well as natural or colored aluminum. A line of these filling a wall in a club or a restraunt would look absolutely spectacular. You could achieve some really stunning effects with this if you put some color changing LED lights in the boxes.

The Routa Light is an atmospheric mood light that gains its inspiration from the five stringed harp instrument. Designed by Finish product designer Laurent Hongisto. This light would be very nice for restaurants or just above your own kitchen table, to add a bit more atmosphere to your room.

"Gluttony"Some pretty funny light fixture designs by Mexican designer Luis Luna. These seem like they could be a couple of very nice DIY projectd, the "hangover" one seems particularly easy. I really don't know why that one isn't hanging in every single frat boys room across the nation.

Very simple idea, but a wonderful implementation. Cut some holes in the lamp shade to make a crazy design on your wall celling whatever. Will this work for most peoples homes probably not, but if you want to spruce up your drab little apartment this is an easy way to do it.
