The town of Valladolid saw him grow up, come and go. While in Salamanca he graduated from Fine Arts, later on he moved to Boston to study Illustration and Design. He currently lives in Spain. He is been always searching for a way to see the inside and outside of things, to the extreme of sleeping with his eyes open.
His work has been selected and awarded by the Society of Illustrators of NY 49th Annual Exhibition, Illustration West 43, 3x3 Magazine of Contemporary Illustration, The National Drawing Award Gregorio Prieto, Expocomic,Jovenes Creadores2006 Comunidad Madrid , Artis Gallery Drawing Award, Arte Joven of La Junta de Castilla y Leon, and La Diputación de Valladolid. His work has been exhibited in New York, Boston, Madrid and Barcelona.

If you have not had a chance to check out Antony Hare's illustrations you have to get to his site, linked below, and check them all out. The Toronto based illustrator has got to be one of the most prolific I have ever come across. Name a star or political person and he probably has an illustration of them on his site. I put a couple of my favorites above but there are so many to check out I had a hard time choosing just two.
Most, if not all, of his illustrations are available for purchase on his site also. With the Canadian dollar falling lately against just about every major currency out there, it is a bit cheaper these days to own one of his illustrations. Puffy TreeAbsolutely fantastic art prints and illustrations from Portland based Mexican illustrator Alberto Cerriteño. Strongly inspired by urban vinyl toys, alternative cartoons, and the pop surrealism movement, Alberto Cerriteño has developed his own very personal technique and style, having always present a delicate hints of traditional Mexican artistic influences in his management of rich textures and decorative patterns. These contrast strikingly with the blending of desaturated colors and ink, sometimes featuring a vintage coffee finish.

I am always super jealous of his work every time I see it, one of these days I'm going to sit down and try to replicate some of his work just to see if I can.

San Francisco based Australian artist Luke Feldman shot me an email today with some of his work. He has a new limited edition print coming out soon, 'Ester' will be limited to a run of 30 prints and can be seen in the picture above. Luke, aka skaffs, has won more awards and has been featured in more publications than I care to mention here, I'm really surprised this is the first of his work I have seen. I love the style of his work, a bit bizzare but always beautiful work. Absolutely fantastic artwork from Björn Hurri, he works in a number of different mediums from your basic sketching with pen and ink to oils and acrylics. He has a lot of work over at his site, bjornhurri.com. The site takes a little bit to load but it is well worth the wait, although the waiting for the site to load is most likely on my end because my computer sounds like it is going to blow up today.
For you Star Wars fans out there Björn has a great series going over at Gorilla Artfare called Steampunk Star Wars, take a minute and go check it out even if you don't like Star Wars the sketches are just brilliant. You can see Yoda below, the little green guy never looked so good, although I am wondering what he is smoking.

Here is a really quick post before I got into an all day meeting today, hopefully I'll get some time later today to put some more posts up. Really nice work from Denver based graphic designer David Carron his portfolio site, avadav.com, is currently undergoing some updates, but you can check out a lot of his work at his deviantART portfolio, it is all very good. Now I'm off to 7 hours of meetings, this should be a good day.

I got a very nice little surprise in my inbox today, miss Kate Lightfoot, a.k.a Scarlett Cat, decided to send me some of her latest works. Scarlett is a self-taught Melbourne artist who draws flirty, quirky big-eyed girls. She works mostly in colored pencil and ink, and achieves some fantastic results. You can buy her work over at her etsy site, seriously I love this girl because she has prints for as little as $4.50, finally an artist who understands not everyone has $1000 to spend on a print. Nice work from Illinois based artist Zeb Love. I don't necessarily dislike John McCain, although I think his pick for VP was pretty laughable. Especially with all the stuff that has come to light about her in the past couple of days, anyone else think that he only chose her to make a play at the disgruntled Hillary Clinton supporters.
