Tertium Non Data translated from Latin means, the third is not given. It is an alchemic term which refers to the process of combining two disparate elements to create a new, third element. The process of transformation is a mystery - an unknown... Tertium Non Data is the design shop of Gulnur Zdaglar Guvenc. All the pieces are made from used PET bottles. All of them are useful or usable and the the jewelry is just plain pretty.

These mini meal planners from Ohio based designer Stephanie Briones are just perfect. The mini meal planner contains forms designed to make planning your meals as simple as possible. Each one comes with 8 weeks worth of forms,56 days, to get you started. The forms are separated by colorful patterned and solid scrap papers that have been coordinated together.
Mini meal planners measure 2.5" x 4", they are about .5" thick and have rounded corners. The pages are held together with a 1" metal book ring.
They are all sold out right now, but I will have to remember to check back to see when they are available again. My wife asked me to get a white board to help her plan the meals for the week, but I think this would be so much better. They are also small enough to throw in her purse, so she could take them to the store with her.

The stop talking cards from New York based designer Alison Riley, have to be the best way to tell someone who just doesn't get it, to shut the f**k up. These cards are clean, fairly subtle and oh so effective. I need a pile of these for every time I got into a meeting or go out to a party. I love this cute this notebook from New York based artist Isabel Roxas. I probably wouldn't use it that much as a notebook, but I would definitely use it as a nice little sketchbook to take everywhere. Although if I had a nice looking notebook like this one at work, maybe I wouldn't use the backs of my tear off daily calendar to take all my notes on.

I really like this piece by California based designer, and self styled typography obsessive, Jonathan Haggard. It is very well done, but most of the reason I like it probably has to do with my infatuation with Andy Gilmore's work lately, as evidenced by my recent posts here and here. Bak 13 is just out today, get it here, and I will say their splash pages for the new magazine keep getting better and better.
Great new work from the Polish design firm Studio K. I love the illustrative style that they have used in these pieces, it seems as though they have brought a bit of a fresh outlook on the standard cutout style of illustration. Studio K is run by two fantastic designers in Krzysztof Domaradzki, the studio's creative director and Eliza Domaradzka, the studio's project manager. Studio K takes pride in providing unique solutions to all sorts of creative challenges. They experiment with various processes, production methods and design styles in order to find and explore new routes of visual communication.
The studio's core focus includes illustration, design as well as web design, branding, corporate identity and managing small advertising campaigns.
The one thing that bothers me about the studio's creative director, Krzysztof Domaradzki, is that one of his major turn-offs is Alf, come on how can't you love Alf, but to each his own I guess.

Really nice digital abstract work from designer/artist Pete Harrison. Based out of London this exceptional designer has worked with the likes of Dolce & Gabbana, Fall Out Boy and BMW just to name a few. This multi-talented designer even runs his own clothing line, Funkrush Clothing. Check out all of his work over at his site, linked below, looking through his work I even found tha one of his pieces is my background on my home computer, get it over at desktopography.net, it is in the 2007 exhibition.

Swiss designer David Fuhrer has an absolutely fantastic portfolio, not just the work but the actual portfolio he won a FWA for it. The above picture was included in 2008 desktopography exhibition. He has some fantastic work check it all out at his site, linked below.

I really thought I had put up a post about Peter Jaworowski, because I see his stuff at least once a week, but I started checking through my old posts and nothing, my bad. So here you go some very excellent work from Poland based artist and designer Peter Jaworowski. I love his use of color and the style is just fantastic, I can't say enough about his work.
The Hejz, Peter's website, was formed in 2004 as a showcase for Peter Jaworowski, co-owner of Warsaw based studio Ars Thanea, where he is the lead designer and illustrator. He is currently represented in London, New York, Sydney, Amsterdam and Frankfurt by Debut Art. Peter is regularly featured in design and industry publications, such as Computer Arts, idN Magazine and Advanced Photoshop just to name a few. He is the news author and a contributor on Reform & Revolution and Computerlove. Check out his site here, and a few more pieces below that he did for Nike.
Subtle, simple, clean are some of the word that come to mind when I look at the
Dag-Henning Brandsæter's work. A lot more after the jump but this is one of my favorites.

When art, design, topography, and charity come together you get Edward Hann's IDP 06. Beautifully done to show the scale of the crisis in Darfur, and 25% of the profits go to Amnesty International, I just wish he had more work to look show.
