UK photographer Mike Stimpson takes a lot, and I mean a lot, of pictures of Lego's. In one of these series' he does a fantastic job of recreating iconic photographs using only Lego's. Here are a few of my favorites from the series, and their real life equivalent. Go and check out the rest of them at his flickr site they have pretty much made my day.

I saw this the other day while watching basketball, and I couldn't stop laughing. I haven't liked all of these style of Geico commercials, but this one is just awesome. Great job by the Martin Agency.

Roots & Shoots tableware is perfectly sized for sandwich and chip combinations, salads and pasta dishes. Whether for everyday use, picnics or informal patio dinners, these lightweight, dishwasher-safe plates will add style to every gathering. The packaged set of four plates form an integrated tree and foliage design. I just really like the design on these plates.

I doubt anyone is going to mess with you if you are going to carry this umbrella around.
The Umbuster has been classified a Class 5 weapon by good and upright men and women of the Victorian Police. To have and to hold this accessory requires a weapons licence and, or gun licence.

This prank happened back in January but this is the first I have seen of it, and it is very cool. I just love the reactions of the onlookers and especially the guy driving the cart, he is awesome. This is a prank on a "grand" scale. Over 200 people gathered at Grand Central Station in New York to pull off a 'frozen in place' act. The onlooking travelers who weren't part of the act were mystified as to what was going on.
On a cold Saturday in New York City, the world’s largest train station came to a sudden halt. Over 200 Improv Everywhere Agents froze in place at the exact same second for five minutes in the Main Concourse of Grand Central Station. Over 500,000 people rush through Grand Central every day, but today, things slowed down just a bit as commuters and tourists alike stopped to notice what was happening around them.
Check out the rest of the photos and story over at improv everywhere.

Really nice ads from the advertising agency Liwa Advertising out of Dubai, UAE and creative directors Vijay Kumar and Suhas Rege. The visual of the tangled up complex strings/ribbons on the left of the ad versus the simple shape on the right works very well. Plus the furniture is beautiful so that is always great.

Real Mario was posted up a few days ago over at pixeloo, and now they have gone ahead and made Homer Simpson real. Man he is ugly, but I do think that they really captured the feel of the lovable fat man that is Homer Simpson. I really hope pixeloo keeps going with this and brings all of our favorite cartoon characters to life, I'm really hoping for Yosemite Sam myself.

Sense light swing made from plastic with fibre optic lighting inserted. On a dark summer night the swing creates a spectacular light show that lights up a whole garden in the most beautiful way. The swing was originally shown in the “Five playful chairs” exhibition in 2005 and has been a huge success around the globe. This is very cool, the only problem would be if you used this at night wouldn't you attract a lot of bugs to you. I guess make sure you have your bug spray handy or citronella candles out.

Hey what’s more fun than sipping your half-caff double latte venti from a stacked-up, three-handled, trompe l’oeil tower of cups? Stacked is comfortable in the hand and amusing to the eye. No matter how you grab it, it’s guaranteed to enliven your coffee break and perk up your pantry. So go ahead - have another cup! It's made with durable, sparkling, dishwasher-safe porcelain. It's three cups in one!
My actual work has been extremely busy lately, thus the extreme lack of posts the last couple of days.

Very nice business card, people would definitely remember you if you gave this out. The tiny green card was designed by Jamie Wiek, it comes with all your details on one side and a wonderful face painted on the other. It also comes with clear instructions and when you put the base of the card in water for a few days, the face grows green hair.
