The "monster skin rug" is just awesome, designed by Longoland. Made with Brushed Woven Cashmere & Wool Polymer Clay, I'm sure the clay part is just the teeth. Made out of cashmere you know this has to be comfortable at least, and a great way to freak out your friends. This would go great with the monster hoodie.
Longoland is a multidisciplinary funhouse lead by artist/designer Joshua Ben Longo. Upon graduating Pratt Institute with a BFA in industrial design his fantastical visions were created in reaction to the restrictive world of traditional product design.

The "Youp's"is a bag that was born from the collaboration between the fashion designer Karine Arabian and UPS. UPS asked fashion designer Karine Arabian to design a bag that would symbolize the"Woman UPS." That doesn't mean design for the ladies that bring the packages to the door, but for the modern woman on that go. A great bag that combines slots for your mp3 player and your laptop, and it looks pretty nice at the same time. You can order a custom template and choose the colors and leather as well as the dimensions to suit your technological tools.

Ontwerpwerk, a multidisciplinary design studio in den haag, netherlands. Has designed a new line of kitchenware for Jamie Oliver of food network fame. They have put together a really nice, clean, and simple design for this new line, and I'm sure they will be of great quality if a chef is endorsing them.

This would be a great shelving solution for a kids room, or just a room that you want to add a little bit of fun and color too, without having to paint. The tetrad flat from Brave Space design, is a modular lightweight unit. Blocks can be attached to one another, to the wall or left free floating for life-sized, living room game play.

Designed by Kinetic, Singapore, these won an Epica award in 2007. They are not strictly for any one brand they are just refill bottles, but they are a very refreshing new design. I just think they are a lot of fun, I would most likely get the dirty dog refill bottle because I am always cleaning up after my dog.

A few new shots from the series that Annie Leibovitz is doing for Disney. I just love this series, probably because Annie Leibovitz has such a great eye for detail. She has shot a ton of different people in these shots everyone from David Beckham to Julie Andrews. The top picture even includes Tina Fey as Tinkerbell, here is the close up shot.

A very cool and unique way to hang your coat up when you get home, plus this a definite conversation starter and a where the hell did you get that from guests at your home, and all for just $25.
"Made from a cement mortar mix, this lightbulb hook was poured into a hollowed out lightbulb, cured and then had the glass removed. The glass mold gives it a high shine and polished surface. During curing, the mortar mix leaves small holes in the surface whichadd texture and character. Because of this, every Concrete Lightbulb is unique. A lag bolt was embedded before curing, and sticks out 1.5" inches to insure a solid grip into the wall when mounted."

Jennifer Maestre's pencil sculptures are just crazy, crazy in a good way of course. A little bit about the artist and her work below.
Jennifer Maestre's sculptures were originally inspired by the form and function of the sea urchin. The spines of the urchin, so dangerous yet beautiful, serve as an explicit warning against contact. The alluring texture of the spines draws the touch in spite of the possible consequences. The tension unveiled, we feel push and pull, desire and repulsion. The sections of pencils present aspects of sharp and smooth for two very different textural and aesthetic experiences. Paradox and surprise are integral in my choice of materials. Quantities of industrially manufactured objects are used to create flexible forms reminiscent of the organic shapes of animals and nature. Pencils are common objects, here, these anonymous objects become the structure. There is true a fragility to the sometimes brutal aspect of the sculptures, vulnerability that is belied by the fearsome texture.

I really like this concept and it is a great way to show off how durable, and stylish your products are.
Limited-edition welcome mats were produced and distributed by BBDO New York as a unique way for people to store their Havaianas. When leaving for the day, people simply slid their feet in and stepped out of the mat. When returning home, the flip-flops were popped back in. Because Havaianas are impervious to bad weather, the mat can be kept either inside or outside. Keeping the mat inside further solidifies Havaianas’ connection to nature by essentially “welcoming” people to the outdoors when they leave for the day.

The sensory lamp by designer Sara Rossbach, is an absolutely spectacular way to get a little green into your cubicle. The user is exposed to simulated natural day light cycles, the fresh smell of grass, and is responsible in keeping the grass alive. According to the designer and soon to graduate MICA ID student Sarah Rossbach, "in a step towards the office of the future, the Sensory Lamp takes us back to nature."

First off if you have not seen the movie Juno go and see it, it is a fantastic movie, by far one of the best movies I've seen this past year. Now this is where the actual post comes in, in the movie the main character Juno uses a hamburger phone constantly. I have been looking for one every since and I finally found one, I just think it is all kinds of fun.

Some absolutely spectacular photo retouching work by the Saddington & Baynes studio. Go check out the rest of the work that they have done it is all wonderful and you will not be disappointed.
Saddington & Baynes is widely recognized as the world's leading print post-production studio. They were the pioneers of digital retouching in the 90's and they continue to set the standard and extend the boundaries. Today, they are once again leading the way, being the first to grasp the full potential of creative CGI in the print medium and introduce it to the industry.

Beautiful cut paper work by artist Peter Callesen. I just this his work is very cool, these are all from the A4 papercut series but go check out his large scale papercut works they are spectacular.
And here is a little bit about Peter Callesen from his site:
A common theme in many of my works is a reinterpretation of classical fairytales as well as a more general interest in memory in connection to childhood - for instance in my performances Castle, Folding and Jukebox. These playful performances exist in the lost land of childhood, between dream and reality and it is in this meeting or confrontation of these two conditions, in a kind of utopian embodiment, that these works of art become alive, often in a tragicomic way.
This interest for the romantic is extended in my later exhibitions White Shadows at Esbjerg Art Museum and From dust to dusk, but here with less focus on the confrontation between dream and reality leaving more space for the poetic aspect as well as the possibility of a reality behind or within the dream.
Lately I have been working almost exclusively with white paper in different objects, paper cuts, installations and performances. Some of these objects and installations are copies of stairs and ladders made out of thin paper. These works derive from my earlier work, Bridge and Still life, dealing with dreams and the impossible - but here in a more fragile and almost sublime version. The trashy style in earlier works is here exchanged with a more precise aesthetics. The work exists in the gab between the recognizable everyday object and the fragile and spherical condition and material in which it appears. The whiteness, the ideal pure copy of something real as well as the vertical direction coherent in most of my paper works, could also indicate the aspect of something platonic or religious.
Most recently I have started making white paper cuts/sculptures inspired by fairytales and romanticism exploring the relationship between two and three dimensionality, between image and reality. I find the materialization of a flat piece of paper into a 3D form as an almost magic process - or maybe one could call it obvious magic, because the process is obvious and the figures still stick to their origin, without the possibility of escaping. In that sense there is also an aspect of something tragic in most of the cuts.
A continual figure in my earlier performances and later drawings is The Dying Swan, who can be described as a hybrid between The Ugly Duckling and a human figure. The Dying Swan reveals different layers of identities, and often he strives for being somebody or somewhere else or tries to achieve the impossible - he is, however, always confronted with reality and failure. He is not only a symbolic character. In his interaction and power-play with the audience his physical presence often creates an intense and uncomfortable atmosphere. In the drawings The Dying Swan creates his own universe, where he seems to be trapped in impossible situations and circles, dealing with death, rebirth, self-creation, and -destruction.
